Postmodern Pinky & The Brain, The Medieval Mandalorian, And Trap Door Kermit

I have a full backlog of awesome internet finds to share with you guys, so let's get crackin'!

First up, Bitty Bitey Ones usually only sculpts dragons, but when they came out with a rare CAT dragon, I knew you guys had to see:

SWOON. I love the markings, and the twisty horns! Give them a follow on Facebook to see more cuties.

Most of you probably already know Postmodern Juke Box, but on the off chance you missed their cover of Pinky and the Brain, I HAVE to include this:

Guaranteed smiles!

Muppet fans, prepare to Kermit flail. Richard Riley made something absolutely incredible for his house, and I am SO JEALOUS:

It's a life-sized Kermit descending from the ceiling through a trap door! AAAAAAH! Head over to Richard's FB post for more photos and details on how he did it - and while you're there, give his replica page a follow.

This is, hands down, the cutest thing I've seen in days:

These two sisters just made my heart grow three sizes!

Story Time by my friend Jason of Red Rocket Farm IS BACK, y'all, and I'm pumped. (Remember my Mertie the snail? That feels like a lifetime ago!) I was missing these comics about 6 months ago, but when I went looking I discovered they're no longer online anywhere! So I'm thrilled Jason is re-posting at least one of his Stories:

Jason's sense of humor cracks me up, though his characters will gut-punch you in the feels faster than a Pixar movie. I never know what to expect.

Anyway, start here on the Red Rocket Facebook Page to read To Lumber Home. Jason is posting one or two panels per day, and they're up to page 10.

There's a building in Switzerland with giant cross-stitched walls, and that feels like something this crowd will appreciate:

At first you think they're real flowers, but then:

WHAT. How cool is this?? I assume that's weather-proof cording through the metal screen, but if you did one inside you could just use yarn. And oooh, the possibilities...

Did you think the Baby Yoda craze was over? I mean, OK, it kind of is. But here, look at this anyway:

Medieval Mando! Omigosh! Go see the whole adorable photoset here.

And finally, this musical ray of sunshine lifted my spirits so much a few days ago, and reminded me how powerful it can be to laugh at the things that scare us. There's a single F bomb, and it is referencing the way things are in the world right now, but in a hopeful, light-hearted, ear-worm kind of way. It also keeps getting funnier, so stick with it:

I know it's irreverent, but my gosh. I needed that.

Stay tuned for more fun finds, because I'm just getting started. (Have you noticed how incredibly creative the internet gets when people suddenly have a lot more free time? I am in AWE.)

I rarely post on my personal Facebook page, but the past few weeks I've been posting lots of stuff like this: fun finds, silly videos, cute animals, etc. It's my small way of bringing a little more joy into my friends' lives among the sea of news in their feed. My point being: Please share more fun stuff. Share laughs and light! We need both!

And in that vein... look how pretty this skirt is:

Ankle-Length Maxi Chiffon Skirt

Y'all know I can't sew, but I'm tempted to buy this and slap some straps on it so I can wear it as a knee-length dress, ha. It looks like all the colors in a holographic sticker! Eeee!

  2. I don't think you need to sew. Looks like an elastic waist, just put it on like a dress, slap on an orange belt (or other color) and wear a cardigan over top. CUTE!

    1. I tried to look at the Ensign Sue Must Die image, but, while the link works, there is no image. The broken image link icon shows instead. :(

  5. I love Randy Rainbow! :D Also, maxi skirts are kind of designed to also wear as a dress if you pull it up over your chest. Just wear a belt and a cardigan. Though, as a very short person, this is literally the only way I CAN wear maxi skirts and they are still maxi at that point. XD

  7. Very much appreciated the Randy Rainbow video! I am working for a non-profit providing meals to the elderly, homeless, and immunocompromised and this whole situation has been such a terrifying roller coaster of emotions! Such a wonderful outpouring of support from the community but so much fear on our team as we serve such vulnerable communities. Thank you for posting, it paused my nightly bathroom cry

  8. Fun tidbit for the Pinky and the Brain video: the bartenders are the original voice actors for Pinky and the Brain! (I don't know which one is which. though.)

  9. Jut FYI, there is a dress version of that skirt - I have it! I got it for a photo shoot. It's super fun and flowy: https://www.amazon.com/Medeshe-Bridesmaid-Sundress-Length-125cm-Tropical/dp/B01ARQNOQ8/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=chiffon+dress&qid=1585616622&sr=8-3

Also, it does not fit like it looks on the model - it's more calf/ankle length at most.
