July Art Roundup: Overwatch, Stranger Things, & Raven Night Lights You MUST See

JUMPIN' GIGAWATTS! It's time for more great geek art!

Here are some of my favorite finds this month:


Sasha Yosselani has an unusual, other-worldly watercolor style, and I'm diggin' it:

These pieces by Rob Taylor of Herofied already have an inner glow, but if you spring for the upgrade to have them printed on actual metal, it is just insanely pretty.

John and I got to see these in person, and you'd swear the metal prints were back-lit, with their glossy rich glow. I'm telling you: SO GOOD.

I tend to avoid featuring artists who don't sell online, because I hate to tease you guys with stuff you can't have, but LOOK:

 I think Johnni Kok reached right into my brain this month with all his adorable new goodies. Sweet scaredy-Stay Puft! And pizza-munchin' Mikey!

Johnni's a fellow Overwatch addict, too, and has been drawing all the heroes in both cute and bad-ass styles like this:

 

 Looove. Go follow Johnni on FB for more, and to watch his schedule, since he does sell at conventions! If you're lucky maybe he'll end up at one near you!

Taking a detour from print art for a sec, because you have to see these awesome night lights by Etsy seller and sculptor Dellamort & Co:

How rad are these?! Usually nightlights only look best switched on, but these have gorgeous sculpts to admire during the day!

Those two are $25 each, but if you're willing to spend $155, you can get THIS pretty:

Ooooh. Ahhhhh.

There is so much more in Dellamorte's shop than nightlights, btw: from Kraken vases to Dryad statues to anatomical heart magnets. Go drool!

I really fell for this fine art print by Marcel Mercado back at MegaCon:

It's another one of those pieces that reaches out and grabs you in person, and the print work is stunning.

In fact, all of Mercado's warrior women are fantastic:

Cryssy Cheung has a take on Batman I don't think I've seen before:

Love that scroll texture - and the trail of bats!

 (Cheung has a cropped version of just Batman, too, which I think I like better. It's more monochromatic that way.)

What first caught my eye, though, was Cheung's Star Wars Celebration piece:

 It's a whopping 36 inches long!

She also has a sweet "Gotham Siren" series:
