Sharing the Love [GiveAway]

Not to be all, "lookie what I got!" but...

Lookie what I got!!


Every once in a while one of you fabulous readers will send me something sweet and make my day. I don't always mention it, because showing off how nice you guys are could be misconstrued as just plain showing off. Ick. However, today I'm going to share!

A little. [grin]

First, let me break down the goodies:

Melonie A. sent those adorable Kawaii capsule toys on the right, plus the oh-so-cute Kingdom Hearts cellphone charm in the middle, all the way from Japan! (The tubes are candy.) I'm currently working on a crafty way to display the toys. I'm sure you'll hear about it when/if I do.

Not three days later, reader Somara *als0* found and purchased the Mickey charm for me. Which is amazing, since I don't think either even knew I'm a Kingdom Hearts fan!

When she learned I already had one, Somara sent the charm anyway, suggesting I give it to one of you. (Told ya you readers are awesome.) Though if you don't mind, I'll be keeping the hilariously creepy vintage clown heads she also included. :D

And lastly, the sweet and squishable Ewok clothed in my favorite color and boasting a hand painted Epbot 'bot to boot (woot!) is by the über talented Stephanie Kotkin. I certainly won't be giving him away - ever! - but you can get your own (among other cute things) at Stephanie's Etsy store.

    MICKEY!! SQUEEE! I love mickey. I'm looking for mickey fabric to make mickey bedding for my son! He loves mickey as much as I do. He's 2.5 and he can spot mickey at 100 yards. LOL! I can't wait for him to be a little older so I can take him to Orlando to the the Mouse at his house!

    Kingdom Hearts was my favorite PS2 game that I played for months (I still have dreams about trying to finish the "Alice in Wonderland" level) until one horrible day when I accidentally knocked the PS2 off the TV while playing. The disk went flying and never worked again. It would freeze every time I tried to enter a new room. Then my brothers-in-law "borrowed" my PS2 and it was never to be seen again. I was almost finished with the game too. I think I deserve a consolation prize!

    I had never heard of these little toys and charms before, but they are cute. The Ewok plush is very clever, especially with the Epbot peeking from the hood!

    I'm not much of a gamer myself, but every boyfriend I've ever had has been obsessed with some system or another. Now I actually really enjoy watching and serving as self appointed navigator/backseat driver! Kingdom hearts was one of my personal favorites so I'd love to sport that charm!

    That phone charm is too cute! Is it supposed to be Sora dressed up like Mickey? I haven't played all of the games (my boys have) so I'm not sure if that is a character in the game or just Sora dressed up like Mickey.

    Ok, not an entry for the giveaway... but a comment on the creepy vintage clown heads... we have them. about 6-8 left now, and the happy birthday-playing, rotating wind-up cake stand they "go with" (not sure if they actually belong together, but they were gifted to our family together). My brother and I, now in our 30s, have a firm no-clown policy for family birthday cakes for our birthdays - those clowns are REALLY creepy and we both claim to be scarred* by the experience of clown-birthday-cake. ;)

    *not so much scarred as just seriously creeped out

    So cute! I love the Kingdom Hearts games. I remember when it first came out I was SO excited because I'd grown up playing all the Final Fantasy games and, of course, loved Disney even going on to work at Epcot a few years later. KH was just the perfect combination of two things I loved! :) I would love to win the charm for that reason!

    Oh, me, me, me! You don't even know what a week it's been. I had a bad asthma attack, then bronchitis, now I have costochondritis and THRUSH. seriously. Only babies get thrush! And, I'm in graduate school, so I've been trying to work on my papers and final exams. Isn't that the SADDEST story ever? It really is.
