Geeky:
Girly:
Adele Enersen uses sheets, towels, and household items to create whimsical scenes around her baby daughter Mila while she naps. Then she posts the pictures on Mila's Daydreams:
The photos are magical and sweet; like a fairy tale. Guaranteed to make you sigh contentedly and think hazy thoughts of unicorns and (double) rainbows.
Remember when I was griping about the lack of great Star Trek fan art in the world? And how epic I said it would be to see a cute Andorian baby with a tribble in one hand and a tricorder in the other?
Well, Kelly C. managed to give me everything except the tricorder:
Ha! Yep, I was right, Kelly: this is pretty epic.

Mila's Daydreams is so cute I could puke. Flailing over here.
ReplyDelete(I can't even imagine how nice it must be to have surgical protection from babyfication. SOMEDAY...)
Love the Yoda costume! I'll have a little one in about 9 more weeks (eek) and have already decided that for Halloween I'm going to make him a tiny little Final Fantasy Moogle costume like this one: http://geekcrafts.com/wp-content/geek_craft_images/moogle_costume.jpg
ReplyDeleteAdele's blog is FANtastic!! *sigh* So cute, so creative!
ReplyDeleteHow cute!! Mila's Daydreams are ADORABLE!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Yoda costume!! I have a pic of my 2 sons (18 months and 2 weeks old at the time) with that costume posing with my hubby dressed as Obi-Wan last halloween!!
ReplyDeleteAww they are all so cute and cuddly. Especially the cute Yoda. Makes me want one even more lol.
ReplyDeleteMy son wore that Yoda costume for Halloween last year when he was 14 months old, and one of my neighbors asked if he was Shrek. What is the world coming to?
ReplyDeleteLoves! My baby's due in October and I already have so many geeky things planned for her!
ReplyDeleteAww, so cute! So much better than Anne Geddes. :) (is she still around?)
ReplyDeleteGENCON runs the 5-8th in Indianapolis, if you want to follow more costume posts on twitter, watch for it.
ReplyDeleteYAY! Thanks Jen! I'm so excited to see Ty on your site! My little Yoda is adorable!
ReplyDeleteLove it! But I don't think I could actually do this to my own child!
ReplyDeleteLOL, very cute indeed!
ReplyDeleteMy four-year-old just walked by, looked at the baby Andorian and said "whoa! That is cool! Wicked cool!" (Yes, my four-year-old talks like that.)
ReplyDelete*sigh* But I did have to correct him. He thought it was from Avatar. Rackin' frackin' movie advertisements, planting the wrong pop culture in my kid's head.
This may be the sweetest baby photos I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea!
Oh my goodness, how fantastically adorable! Someday my kids are going to be geeked out too :)
ReplyDeleteOmygoodness...that woman has too much time on her hands! Never would have thought of taking that precious "mommy" time to stage photos while my twin babies slept...guess I was just too exhausted. So adorable!
ReplyDelete@Sarah -- I did make a Moogle costume for my son when he was 5 months old. He wore it to Anime Weekend Atlanta and for Halloween. Mine wasn't quite as elaborate as the one you linked to. But a lot of AWA attendees knew he was a moogle.
ReplyDeleteAbout the lack of cool Trek art, you were saying?

I am totally gonna dress my babies as Yoda's whenever I have some lol It's my favorite/cutest kids costume I've seen!
ReplyDeleteTribbles! I remember he tribble epsiode, probably my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI made 5 matching Star Wars costumes for my kids one year, we had Luke, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, R2D2, and a Jawa robe for the baby. This year, they are all choosing How to Train Your Dragon, which means I have 3 dragon costumes and 2 vikings, plus big viking costumes for the husband and I.....yes, I am a glutton for punishment.
ReplyDeleteI showed baby #1 to my husband and he asked if it was from Star Trek. I almost cried.
ReplyDeleteThe andorian baby is so cute! :)
ReplyDeletePerhaps, there is a picture of a klingon baby among tribbles? Angry and frightened?
