Hm? That noise just now? Oh, that was just me, collapsing in a fit of nerd glee.
There's also an adorable pic of Nimoy's son visiting him on set wearing Vulcan ears. Smiling Spock = happy Jen.
And while we're at it, there's a great article about one of my favorite OS Trek books, The Entropy Effect, over on io9. You should read it. (The book, I mean. You can also read the article, if you like.)

I love how he ends every tweet with LLAP- Live Long And Prosper! He is awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to know what they were laughing about.
ReplyDeleteAre they grilling on set?
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved The Entropy Effect. Thanks for the twitter link too.
ReplyDeleteDone and done. Thank you so much for letting the nerds of the world know what they may or may not be missing out on.
ReplyDeleteThe book is also available on audible narrated by Nemoy and Takei! I haven't listened to it yet but it was soooo cheap and and and the narrators!!
ReplyDeleteI don't twitter at all. Don't even have a compatible device. But that picture??? Ooooohhh Awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteHe has an Etsy! http://www.etsy.com/shop/SecretSelves?show_panel=true
ReplyDeleteLove both your blogs! I probably have the best Treky story. I am named after an episode in season 2 - Return To Tomorrow -

My parents loved the name Thalassa, but they thought it was Elaissa (pronounced: A-lay-ssa)!
He is too funny, and this picture made my day. I bet there is a great story to go along with it.
ReplyDeleteJen...thanks for the morning geek... AND Trek-geek at that!
ReplyDeleteI must worship you now...^_^
The Entropy Effect was one of my all time favorite books. My ex-boyfriend still has it. *weeps*
ReplyDeleteI love that book! I discovered it quite by chance. I was staying with a friend years ago, and she had it. She didn't recommend it to me or anything, I just picked it up one day and read it, and couldn't put it down.
ReplyDeleteWoot!
ReplyDeleteHouse full of Trek geeks here, love the picture :)
More Trek for you - here's guy who build ST consoles in his house:

ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I love all things Trek. Well, except DS9, it was never my fave. Kirk & Spock ROCK! :)
ReplyDeleteOn a total side note (tangent) I thought you should see these steampunk goodies on Etsy:

They're delish! :)
Vonda McIntyre is my favorite Trek novelist. Her adaptation of Star Trek III is so good, it's better than the film; it really fleshes out the aftermath of Wrath of Khan.
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing the ears-on-the-son video in an outtake reel back in the 80's... found a poor copy online: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAt7KLVdDdY (this clip is at about 1:05). They put ears on Nimoy's son and sent him out while Nimoy thought they were filming a scene for the show.
ReplyDeleteAughhhhhhhh! I didn't know Nemoy had a Twitter!!!! <3
ReplyDeleteDefinitely one of the highlights of Dragon*Con last year.
What are they so happy about? I don't know, but De looks like he's ready to fall down from laughing so hard. Bill and Leonard look pretty happy too.
